In March 2012, I arrived in the United States from Ecuador, beginning a new chapter in my life. During my first year, I balanced my studies during the week with roofing work on weekends and holidays.
The following year, I decided to leave school and focus exclusively on work. I started working with my uncle, and it was during this time that I gained experience in various types of services, such as roofing, siding, and gutters.
During the first two years, I lived in Providence, where I had the opportunity to refine my skills. In 2014, I moved to Massachusetts and, along with my brother, who had already been established in the state for about three years, we founded a partnership. This partnership lasted for two years, and in 2016, we decided to go our separate ways. After the split, I took on the role of manager for the projects my brother acquired, serving as a foreman.
In 2017, I decided to open my own company. It was a period of great learning and growth, with a team of approximately 20 people. During this time, I managed multiple projects simultaneously, dividing teams based on demand.
In 2018, my brother moved to Pennsylvania, but despite the distance, we continued to stay in constant communication, sharing ideas about new jobs, market innovations, and best work practices. This ongoing exchange of knowledge strengthened our collaboration.
In 2020, for personal reasons, I had to return to my home country. During my absence, the company faced difficulties due to the lack of a qualified team to continue with the projects, which resulted in a period of stagnation.
However, in 2021, I returned to the United States with the goal of revitalizing my company and continuing its growth. Upon my return, I realized that it would not be possible to recover the name and data of the previous company. As I am someone who doesn’t give up easily, I decided to start from scratch. I created a new company, with a new name and a new team, while maintaining the commitment to the same level of service quality.
I faced many challenges, including strong competition in the market and unexpected obstacles. However, I realized that, in order to stand out, it was necessary to innovate and demonstrate the unique value of our services. Always prioritizing quality, I sought highly skilled labor, offering my clients a 20-year warranty on material damage and a 10-year warranty on workmanship.
The learning throughout this journey has been crucial to providing an excellent service. Today, I am confident that I deliver the best to my clients. Although my team is exceptional, I make sure to conduct a thorough inspection after each service to ensure that both the materials and the workmanship will not result in any issues in the future.
Currently, over time, our companies have consolidated into a unified operation. My brother and I consider that we work together, operating under the names Top Roofing and MSM General Construction, with a presence in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Rhode Island (Providence), and Vermont. Our ongoing collaboration allows us to offer the best to our clients, with the confidence that we are providing security and quality in every project we undertake.
My mission is to prosper and protect the families we serve, providing them with security and peace of mind. This mission gives me immense personal satisfaction, looking back and seeing how all the effort has turned into great victories.
My goals are: first, to prosper as a company; second, to continue helping the families we serve; and third, to achieve my personal accomplishments.
